DCIM for Multi-Tenant Data Centers (MTDC)
Cloud Computing has been a catalyst in the rapid growth of the MTDC industry. The larger ones resemble an industrial complex with multiple zones, floors and buildings. Energy Billing
Power represents over 60% of a MTDC’s operating costs; hence power usage needs to be determined accurately by a DCIM for each customer. GFS Crane DC can generate energy bills for individual customers based on power consumed by each rack allocated to them.

Energy Billing for VMs
For Managed Services, GFS Crane DC will also determine power costs at device level, including at the VM level. Hence the power cost of delivering an application service running on a VM can be estimated by this DCIM Software.

Multi-level PUE Calculation
Based on Green Grid’s recommendation for measuring and reporting overall data center efficiency, GFS Crane DC calculates PUE at multiple levels of the power architecture. This way the DCIM Software helps to determine power distribution losses and can recommend ways to make best use of power.
In addition to this, GFS Crane DC enables each customer to get his own PUE, making it appear like a MyDCIM in a MTDC environment.
