GFS Crane MR | DCIM Manufacturer Repository
GFS Crane MR is a companion product to DCIM software. As a Manufacturer Repository, it has an extensive database of information regarding different categories of equipment in a data center. The Manufacturer Repository consists of all available models of equipment from leading OEMs in the industry.
GFS Crane MR has two sections namely ‘Computing Equipment’ and Non-computing Equipment’. The computing section contains servers, storage and network devices from leading manufacturers. The non-computing section has cooling equipment, UPS, Power Distribution Units (PDU) and Racks.
Under each category, GFS Crane MR provides detailed information on the configuration parameters, physical specifications as well as energy and environmental attributes of a particular hardware. The specifications are kept up-to-date on a regular basis and equipment are added or removed as and when there is a change in the OEMs’ product catalogues.
How does GFS Crane MR benefit the customer?
GFS Crane MR helps customers to identify the best possible upgrade path for older equipment in the data center to more energy-efficient and operationally efficient devices. The older equipment once replaced, based on current book value and purchase price, results in an increased compute performance of the data center per embedded Watt of power consumption, reduces operation cost on power and carbon footprint of the data center.

GFS Crane MR can be licensed as an option to GFS Crane DC base license. It can also be licensed as an independent stand-alone product.
