Shekhar Dasgupta, Founder & CEO
Shekhar Dasgupta is the Founder & CEO of GreenField Software Private limited, a venture pioneering energy and environment management software.
Shekhar began his career with the Confederation of Indian Industry. He then spent 25 years in the IT Industry in India & US. Prior to starting GreenField Software, he was Chief Operating Officer of Solix Technologies Inc, a Silicon Valley start-up.
Earlier, Shekhar worked for over 12 years at Oracle India, including last seven years as its Managing Director. During his time, Oracle India grew from a 3-man team to over 7000. He was instrumental in setting up the Centre for E-Governance at its Corporate Office in Gurgaon.
Shekhar graduated with Economics Honours from Presidency College, Kolkata and later completed PGDM from IIM Bangalore, specializing in Energy Management. Shekhar was a Charter Member of TiE Silicon Valley from 2006 to 2011 and is now a Charter Member of TiE Delhi-NCR Chapter. He was earlier a Governing Council member of the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad. He is currently a member of two Special Interest Groups constituted by TERI & NASSCOM on Green IT and Environment Sustainability.
Abhijit Sen, Co-Founder & Director
Abhijit Sen is Co-Founder & Director of GreenField Software. A Metallurgical Engineer from IIT Kanpur, Abhijit has been an entrepreneur since 1983 with diverse business interests. Previously, Abhijit held senior industry positions as Head of Management Services & Diversification in James Warren Group of Companies & Director, Warren Metals. Prior to that, Abhijit spent over 8 years in GKW and was principally occupied in the design of Operations Research based advanced strategic planning and process control systems for the Forgings, Precision Pressing and Steel Divisions of the company.
Abhijit is the Chief Mentor and his flagship company, UD Marketing Private Limited is incubating GreenField Software through its formative stage. Abhijit has a history of mentoring and angel investing a number of early stage start-ups, each emerging post-incubation with successful track records.
