GFS Crane, launched in early 2012 as Data Center Energy Efficiency Software, matured with increasing customer deployments as a complete Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) suite monitoring critical infrastructure systems and IT devices over an IP network. As it further evolved, GFS Crane’s applicability moved beyond Data Centers and embraced two important technologies: sensor analytics and Industrial Internet of Things.
Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) or the Industrial Internet has been defined as “an Internet of things, machines, computers and people enabling intelligent industrial operations using advanced data analytics for transformational business outcomes.” (Source: Industrial Internet Consortium).
The GFS Crane portfolio of Industrial Internet applications connect to and monitor machines and devices supporting different protocols (SNMP, Modbus, BACNet) over an IP network. Beyond monitoring, GFS Crane transforms the very high volumes of different varieties of data, captured real-time from different machines and devices, through an Analytics and Business Intelligence layer. This provides deep insights for customers to achieve highest uptimes, maximize utilization, reduce energy costs and maintain highest levels of security of their infrastructure asset base.
